Hello, my name is Karen and I'm the director and teacher of His Kids Preschool. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Bloomsburg University with a BS degree in elementary education with a minor in hearing impaired. Originally from a small town outside of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania my family moved to Reading over fifteen years ago.

After my two children reached school age, I returned to teaching. Enjoying my new position in early childhood education, I pursued this field in all of my post-graduate studies and have been teaching over twelve years in this area.

In addition to teaching, I have presented workshops and seminars on early childhood education for Kutztown University's Association for the Education of Young Children and Eastern Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children's Kidsfuff Conferences and for Child Development, Inc. in Schuylkill Haven, PA. I also had an article published in About Families of Berks County (formally About Kids) entitled "Getting Ready for Preschool".

The preschool staff includes three assistants and myself. All staff members are born-again Christians and all assistants must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Child abuse and criminal checks are required for all employees. Currently, all my assistants are past or present preschool moms.
